HELLOWORLD TRAVEL VOLLEYROOS HAVE THAT WINNING FEELING

The Helloworld Travel Volleryoos now believe they can compete with anyone and match with the very best in the world if they bring their aggressive attitude to every contest.

Australia have now won four straight Volleyball Nations League games claiming some big scalps along with the way including Germany, Korea, China and most recently world number four and Olympic Silver Medallists Italy.

The clean sweep of all three matches on the fourth week of the FIVB Volleyball Nations League in Korea might have seemed a lofty goal but for this Australian squad the focus has been about having no fear when they step on to court.

“I’m very pleased with our victory over Italy. It was an important match because we changed our composition of players today. It was a good opportunity for them. We have kept the same mentality in all three matches in Seoul. It was a good experience for the team.” said Volleyroos coach Mark Lebedew

Captain Paul Carroll has been an inspirational leader throughout this Volleyball Nations League campaign playing a key role in not only scoring points but keeping his side calm under pressure.

“I think we showed that our six players played on the same level as Italy. Italy missed a lot and at some point, their setter lost his cool and they became more emotional. It was a great victory." said Carroll.

Now the Aussies have some real momentum as they make their way to Melbourne this week where they will host world volleyball super powers Poland, Brazil and Argentina.

The Volleyroos are calling for a big home crowd to come out and support them against some of the very best Volleyball nations on the planet.

"We will continue giving the same performance  in Melbourne. We can't wait to get back home and play in front of our home crowd. We've been on the road for a while now and it we really want to see as many people as possible cheer us on at Hisense Arena" said Carroll.

Tickets are still available for all matches this weekend June 22-24 through Ticketek.
