
Volleyball Australia (VA) is seeking applications for a part-time Strength & Conditioning Coach, Volleyball Pathways to be based in the VA Office at
the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra. The role entails working as part of a team to design and deliver strength and conditioning services
for the Australian Volleyball Academy (AVA) based at the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra.
The AVA supports all the daily training requirements of up to 40 developmental athletes in a high-performance environment aimed at developing athletes capable of future international success in both beach and indoor disciplines.
Strength & Conditioning Coach (Part-Time), Australian Volleyball Academy
Job Purpose
1. Deliver specified strength and conditioning sessions for the AVA athletes.
2. As part of the AVA S & C team, work with AVA Coaches, and in collaboration with Sports Science and Medicine staff and other relevant providers contribute to the planning of strength and conditioning programs for AVA athletes.
Work Hours: 9 hours per week
Current schedule
Mon 3.30-5.30pm
Wed 6.45-8.45am
Thurs 1-2pm (Gym), 2-3pm (Service Team meeting)
Fri 6.45-8.45am
Salary package: To be negotiated commensurate with experience.
