Royal Wolf, Australasia’s largest container provider, and Volleyball Australia are excited to announce a new partnership that will help prepare the country’s best beach volleyballers ahead of the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games.
Royal Wolf will provide VA logistics and container storage needs for events across Australia in the next 12 months, a very busy time on the Volleyball Australia calendar.
On a jam-packed calendar, Australia will be hosting major world tour beach events in Shepparton and Sydney, an Asian tour event in Cairns, and major indoor beach events in Canberra and on the Gold Coast, to name but a few.
“One of the biggest headaches associated with hosting major events is storage and logistics space,” VA’s head of Beach Volleyball Events, Baz Wedmaier, said.
“Having a company with the background and standing of Royal Wolf on board is going to be a major weight off our shoulders, and will definitely make our events run much smoother and effectively.”
Royal Wolf Chief Executive Officer, Neil Littlewood, said the company was excited to partner with Volleyball Australia.
“When we saw what Volleyball Australia is planning to do over the next 12 months, and its long-term vision for the sport, we couldn’t help but be impressed,” Mr Littlewood said.
“This is a great opportunity for us to spread the word throughout Australasia about what we do, while at the same time partner with one of Australia’s fastest growing sports.
“And anything we can do to help our leading athletes better prepare for major events is a thrilling challenge for us.”
The partnership between Royal Wolf and Volleyball Australia is the latest in an exciting period for the sport in Australia.
As well as signing and re-signing sponsors, and successfully bidding for the right to host major international beach and indoor events, Volleyball Australia has also been involved with a weekly volleyball television show on 7TWO.
Inside Volleyball airs at 930am every Sunday morning.
“It is very satisfying for us at Volleyball Australia to have an outstanding company like Royal Wolf recognise what we are doing,” VA Chief Commercial Officer, Rod Harys, said.
“We are working hard to continue the incredible growth in beach and indoor volleyball that we have experienced in recent years, and Royal Wolf will provide a major boost.
“Royal Wolf joins other major supporters, like Gina Rinehart and helloWorld, in driving volleyball to its rightful place among the biggest sports in Australia.”
