The Volleyball Australia Centre of Excellence Rising Stars camps program has continued its growth from its iniation in 2016 and is on track to having more athletes and coaches participating in a National camp structure then ever before.
The Rising Stars program represents the first step in the National development pathway for all aspiring young volleyballers and is a key mechanism for unearthing and developing future Volleyroos. To add to the value these camps bring to junior volleyballers they also serve as a great checking in point for athletes currently aligned with the National development pathway. Additionally the camps provide a fantastic platform for all levels of coaches to further their development and engage with National program coaches with extensive international coaching and elite athlete development experience.
The camps combine both the latest volleyball training and techniques from the Volleyball Australia Centre of Excellence programs as well as further coach and athlete development in the areas of strength and conditioning, pre-hab, key athlete behaviours and attitudes, recovery, load management and volleyball pathways.
Through the second half of 2017 Rising Stars camps will be run in Gold Coast, Melbourne, Bendigo, Adelaide, Hobart, Perth, Darwin, Alice Springs, Cairns, Hervey Bay region and North and South Coast NSW. If you are a school, club or assocation is interested in hosting a camp please contact Marty Collins at firstname.lastname@example.org
