Aussie men continue unbeaten


Under a very hot Gold Coast sun Australia’s Chris McHugh and Damien Schumann have continued the Aussie Volleryoos unbeaten start to these first ever Commonwealth Games for Beach Volleyball. 

St Kitts and Nevis were all smiles and seemed just happy to be on the big stage against the local favourites in front of a packed Coolangatta stadium.
 
As the match got underway St Kitts were unable to offer much resistance as McHugh and Schumann blitzed their way through to a 16-0 first set lead.

A huge roar from the crowd when the likeable pair from St Kitts  finally got on the score board to make it 16-1.

The Aussies though closing out the first set 21-3.
 
The second set had more for the St Kitts boys to really smile about and also brought the crowd right into the match as they dug deep and bagged some exciting and desperate points against the red hot Australians.

In the end the Aussies had too much class for their second win of the tournament 21-3, 21-11.

The Australian women will be hoping to remain undefeated in their their final pool match tonight at 9.30pm V Scotland.
