Volleyfest 2020 Event Information

E-Technical Meeting

This e-Technical Meeting is the official event information and is in lieu of a physical meeting at the beach. This is due to the earlier start time and not wanting to have players and coaches out of bed any earlier than necessary.

All information will be contained in this email and on the NSW and VA websites. If you have any questions, please email or call the contacts at the bottom of this email.

Safety & Beach Conditions

Free zones have been set out to the maximum possible spacings based on physical sand areas. As always, if a player feels anything is unsafe during the event, please let event staff know.

Along the water’s edge there is a drop off in some areas beyond the signage of up to 1.5m. Be aware of this when running down balls and please do not under any circumstances jump over or down these embankments. Normal Beach Volleyball rules apply for retrieving balls travelling out of bounds.

Bins are provided around the venue so please ensure you keep our beaches clean. Event staff are not here to pick up after you.

For all of the above, if you do see something that you do not think is correct (seeding, format, spelling of your name) please let us know. If there has been a mistake, we can correct it. However, if it isn't raised with the relevant parties, we can't do much to fix it. With the release of this information, it was poignant to clarify some points associated with this Seeding and Competition in general.

Finally, if anyone has any questions please refer to the Sport Regulations for the U19 & U21 ABVC or NSW Open or contact the relevant Competition Manager.
