Margo has a strong record of achievement, having represented Netherlands on the beach as an athlete (2004-2011) and headed the Development Program (Women) for Beach Volleyball Team Netherlands (2013-2018). Employing a collaborative approach with a team coaches and other experts she steered athletes to a number of European Championship medals (Junior and Senior, including Gold), World Under 19 Championships (Silver) and an FIVB World Tour medal (Silver).
Margo also has experience as an indoor coach for Men’s club teams and has graduated with a Master of Laws (VU Amsterdam).
Marty Collins is the Women's Volleyroos Head Coach along with his role with the coaching at the AVA. Marty has been coaching internationally since 2010 after competing in the 2009 World University Games. Coaching across both disciplines and genders in Papua New Guinea and the Federated States of Micronesia in addition to Australian National Teams has given him a wide range of experiences. Marty also a qualified teacher who holds an applied science degree, enjoys working across both development and senior programs at the same time.
Brad Tutton is the Men’s coach for the AVA program based in Canberra and the Assistant Coach for Women’s Beach Volleyball Team Taliqua Clancy and Mariafe Artacho Del Solar. Brad has a strong background in developing young athletes in Australia in previous roles with the South Australian Sports Institute and the Queensland Academy of Sport as well as international experience with the Japanese Women’s Beach Volleyball Program as their Assistant Coach. As a player Brad represented Australia in the U18/U21 World Junior Beach Volleyball Championships and played as a setter on contract in Europe.
Brad’s professional career has also included roles such as National Sales Manager and General Manager in the fitness industry and is currently in the final stages of completing his Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) specialising in Sports Management.
Myles brings experience coaching at the Junior (AJVC) and Senior (AVL) State Representative level, as well as the Junior National Team as a Head Coach of a Junior Women’s Asian Volleyball Championship Touring Team.
Internationally he spent two years working within a highly successful Division I NCAA Volleyball Program at the University of Hawaii. As well as Head Coach roles, for the Florida and Aloha Regions at the USA Volleyball High Performance Championships.
He has a strong background and understands the importance of physical conditioning for athletes. Having completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Movement Science and also is a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS).
Dr Anna Topping
Sophie is an Accredited Practicing Dietitian and an Accredited Sports Dietitian. Sophie has worked extensively in sports nutrition during her career including international athletes in the sports of Cross Country Skiing, Athletics and Volleyball. She is also an athlete herself having represented Australia in the Heptathlon at the Commonwealth Games in 2014.
